ENSIGN mid-term review meeting

The ENSIGN project (Emerging Nanoscopy for Single-Entity Characterisation), funded under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Staff Exchanges (MSCA-SE), successfully held its mid-term review meeting with the participation of the project consortium and the European Commission’s Project Officer. The meeting was held in Wrocław, Poland on 25-26th of October 2024
The meeting provided an important opportunity to assess the progress achieved during the first half of the project and to ensure alignment with the scientific, training, and networking objectives set out in the Grant Agreement. Project partners presented their scientific results, highlighting advances in correlative nanoscopy, integration of multimodal imaging techniques, and early dissemination activities. In addition, the consortium reported on secondments, training events, outreach activities, and collaborations developed across academia and industry.
The review also served as a forum for constructive feedback and discussion with the Project Officer, focusing on strengthening project impact, improving knowledge transfer, and maximizing opportunities for intersectoral and international collaboration.
The positive outcome of the meeting confirmed that ENSIGN is on track to achieve its goals and continue pushing the boundaries of single-entity characterisation at the nanoscale. The consortium is now preparing for the next project phase, with renewed commitment to delivering innovative research, training excellence, and broad dissemination of results.
